Header and exhaust geed idea?

Was kicking aaroung the idea of going with a header and full cat-back exhaust on my 01 civic lx. I want to get rid of the catlytic converter by running the header. What you guys think? Will it help any?

Re: Header and exhaust geed idea?

As I said in a few other recent posts, header/intake/exhaust wont help much, just free up some of the resricted power by stock system. and also make it sound a little better.
7th gens arent made for speed, thats the bottom line.

02civicsi02 will become famous soon enough
Re: Header and exhaust geed idea?

This has been answered in numerous amounts of threads if you read. The header and exhaust on the base 7th gen will not have much affect on it.

Re: Header and exhaust geed idea?

agreed don't waste your money on a header, do the exhaust if you like if you want a different exhaust note, but you won't gain any power

Re: Header and exhaust geed idea?

"Geed" means "good idea" or "get the idea"?
for intake, get a AEM filters, then read this
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...ever-done.html
and then go to the hardware/home improvement store

Re: Header and exhaust geed idea?

Take the muffler off where it attaches to the resonator via a flange and 2 bolts. It sounds quite deep in the low RPMs with lots of drone (I like it). Cost me 15 minutes of my time. I'll post a video up sometime when I get around to it.

Mine's an 02 Civic LX Coupe.
