Rep Power: 0 New to 7th gens.. Good buy?
Hey guys.. My 6th gen is currently on its last kilometers... Alas, I loved thee!
Anyway, I'm looking to buy a 7th gen.
This particular one sticks out to me.
Here is the ad (roughly translated, so bear with me):
I am not familiar with 7th gen problems. Do you guys spot anything fishy or weird in this ad? Some pics:
And also, what questions should I ask/what should I have particularly inspected?
Thanks guys!

It's a pretty good price if i do say so myself!
I must say i am quite jealous! My civic looks just like that, but it's silver, no sunroof, and it's automatic
That civic is what i wish my civic was! (Coup wouldn't hurt either )
I'm just a beginner mechanically so i couldn't tell you what you'd need to have checked, but i'm sure someone here can help

Johnny Tran stole my S2000 that I had over $100K in mods.

Personally, I dont like sedans at all
But for 4k, thats a pretty sweet deal, as long as no engine problems
And yes, first thing i would do is get rear tints, and debadge that "Sport" =.=
Also, personal preference, but i would remove the spoiler, sedans don't look good with spoilers

I know eh? I kinda thought "fake" when I saw it, I wasn't aware of a Sport trim... Perhaps only for Canada?
Anyway, took her to my mechanic today; there was about 3000$ of work to do on her!
Including but not limited to:
Transmission
Clutch (ridiculously hard to shift)
Oil pan (rusted up)
Various hidden rust spots on the body
Tires (3 out of 4 finished, and mags were ugly as hell)
There was also this horrible bleach odor inside, as if the guy had committed a crime and then bleached his car to remove all the blood...
Anyway, needless to say I'm not buying it. You'll still be seeing me around though! I'm determined to buy a 7th gen.
And btw, personally, I like the spoiler
On a side note, even though the clutch was pure crap, I could still tell I would love the feel of driving my soon-to-be 7th gen. The motor was so responsive! (Keep in mind that I'm coming from a 96 LX Civic) There's like a 20hp difference, but man! What a difference that is!

clutch, I'd say change the tranny fluid and see if that helps at all
last I checked, the oil pan on a d17a2 is made of aluminum... it shouldn't be rusting..
rust on the body.. more than likely superficial rust. Sand it down, primer, paint. call it good.
tires, sure.
bleach odor, yea.. nasty.. lol

Yeah, well my mech said the tranny was leaking, so that's probably why...
Also, one of the behrings is going...
I really wanted a car that was clean, as in no work to do to on it... Maybe too much to ask, but I'm like that
@KennyKid, Ha, I prefer four-door, not because I don't like coupe, actually i prefer the body of the coupe (duh), but I actually need to carry passengers sometimes and the back doors are kind of non-negociable
When I'm rich I'll have a coupe AND a sedan (sadly I'll be too old to enjoy the coupe by then :sigh
That's why I'm looking for a "sporty" sedan (kinda contradicting in itself, but still possible!), it'll be like a reasonable trade-off.

Ah, I missed the "transmission" part. I've been able to carry 5 people comfortably in my car, even be able to put a child seat in the back with my racing seats sitting as far back as they do
