Hey everyone, I'm new to the forms and this is my first post so be kinda haha. I just paid off my 02 civic ex, it is currently all stock with the b17a2 engine. Now that I finally paid it all off I want to start putting some money into it. But I'm having some problems starting off, I was thinking about starting with an intake, (AEM or Injen, or something better) or some boltons.. I just want to start getting some boost, any suggestions and hints will help!!

I'd recommend doing some suspension work while you research how to turbo your car. Before you decide to turbo, make sure you're well educated.
and you have a D17A2.. not B

Well if you really want to add some boltons then go for it. Its your car afterall. I'd personally go with some headers, a short ram and a full cat-back exhaust if I had the money even though I know they wont really do much Good thing my cousin has a magnaflow muffler in his house somewhere which is good enough for me

A shortram, header, catback exhaust will give you about a 10~15hp gain in total not much more
in theory, it doesnt "increase" hp, it just frees up the flow of intake and exhaust restricted by our cars's stock equipment
the 7th gen EX should get 127 BHP, but gets 90~100 WHP, with intake and exhaust, it will allow a little more HP to get to the wheels, the rest is still lost.
like everyone else says, the 7th gen is not known to be a fast car, if you want performance, you need to do a swap

It is alot of info because you need to know what the hell you are doing before you turbo a car. You need to know how it works and everything, you cant just put it on there and not know what all is on there and how it works. If you dont then you will blow your **** up. So first you need to learn all bout turbos before even starting to make yours turbo.

^^exactly the reason I only had a turbo on my car for 1.5 years. I have the turbo charger sitting in my room, and I know a good amount, but don't feel I am confident enough (nor financially backed to do so) to slap the turbo back on my car.
