2001 Honda Civic EX vtec

Car was driving without any problems. Then got back in her and engine started , rev up and down. Check engine lite came on and all gauges stop working. Even tach quit. check for engine code ,all scanners would not communicate with car computer. Did checked all fuses, and engine grounds.
Did Mitchell on demand volt and ground at obd11 connector all ok. The car is automatic and has no power and shifts into gear very hard.

Grab a beer and cry your eyes out, all hope is lost.

Naw, only kidding. I don't really know what the problem could be lol.

You said it was driving just fine, then all of a sudden, you experienced problems. What happened in between then?

Re: 2001 Honda Civic EX vtec

It had a cylinder head put on it a month before all these problems.
Once the head was put on it drove fine with no complaints. Went to the store and she was fine, when came out she was -ell to get back to the garage.
When you start it up the rpm goes up and down with battery lite on,as soon as it stops bouncing around battery lite goes out and check engine lite stay on.
tried other computers and scanner wont talk to them either.

Sounds like the Multiplex Control Unit. It controls everything in the car and is an integral part of the under-dash fusebox.
