dechroming help

I want to take the chrome pieces of my hood and trunk and replace them with black (the color of my car). How would i go about doing it and where can i get the replacement pieces (besides the dealership)?

You should be able to remove the chrome pieces and just spray paint them gloss black.

Majestic Honda / Honda parts now, cheapesthondaparts.com etc... Just order them in the painted versions.

Shipping will add $15-$20 to order.

well not exactly. usually if you live in the states (im out of luck because i live in canada) majestic honda prices WITH shipping are still cheaper than most dealership prices for items right over the counter. those other sites usually have good prices as well if you compare it to the dealership.

if you can avoid actual dealerships, do it at all costs.

damn 50 bucks for the back chrome pieces and 30 bucks for the front? thats a little ridiculous.

If you want something that looks more professional than get them professionally painted... it shouldn't be that much.... but spray painting them should be fine as long as you get colour matched spray paint, put it on evenly and do a lot of clearcoat.
