Ok so is taking off the rear honda "H" pretty much the same as shaving the "EX" emblem?

Yes, but there are holes in the trunk that little pegs on the back of the H plug into. To do it properly you would have to patch the holes and paint the trunk. If you just want to pull it off and paint it or something its the same
