Okay so im off the ebay search and now looking to invest in a magnaflow muffler and was wondernig if anyone here has had any expirence with the use of these mufflers. Im told there not all that loud but im looking at somthing with a Dual tip if not a styleish single.
Now if i was to replace the muffler on the stock pipe'ing stock with the civic running from the engine and just install this, How much of a problem will that be. What kind of pipe size converter willi need to make shore the stock pipe would fit with the muffler im about to install im not shore what the size of the pipeing is im hopping its a 2.25" ?
Thanks.

stock is like 1.7" you HAVE to take it to a muffler shop for welding, unless you get a catback or axleback. and PLEASE dont do a dual tip. it will humiliate me and burn your bumper.

So before on a Civic no Chrome now No Dual tip what else cant you do with out being looked down upon.
THis is crazy no dual tip? I probably will sitll go dual tip just because it adds a lil more and looks a little better.
Anyone else completely object to a Dual tip?

I also disagree with the daul tip hehe. I went with a magnaflow catback with the nice round can and I dont know who told u it wont be loud because im thinking of replacing it its so anoying. Altho all I wanted was a little humm and this thing growls and roars. Sounds nice and deep just loud.

I put one on my 02 lx about 2 weeks ago and love it. It sounds sweet with the AEM intake. i recommend Magnaflow. The muffler sits nicely out the rear and catches your eye but does not stand out.

a dual tip wont work. period. unless you got out of your way to get it. our headers exit 4-1 so we only have one muffler/tip. they dont make 4-2 headers to my knowledge for our cars. and a dual tip would only ROB performance from a 4-1 header. thatis if it was even real. if it was fake, RICE! and fyi, a real muffler willl likely BURN the bumper without a cutout. if you notice the passside has a cutout, therefore looks nice and like its supposed to be there. a driver side tip would be out of place. But i do like the magnaflow choice

Are you looking for a muffler with two tips or dual exhaust? Little confused.
I have a mangaflow muffler and added 2.25" pipe from the cat and on. Here's a video of how it sounds at startup, idle, and with some revs. Only negative: drones at times.

I have a magnaflow cat back on my Civic and it sounds good. The only complaint that I have is that my exhaust makes a weird rumble noise when it gets wet. I'm guessing it has something to do with the heat shield. Magnaflow is not annoyingly loud or raspy and has a nice deep sound.

Well I bought the entire CatBack from Manga Flow for 387.17 shipped. Its in the mail. Interms of performance what can I look for interms of gains? I think i lost very little kick when I through on the 18" rims. Would this help me break about even?
Is a 4-6HP gain with a full catback is too much to expect?
And interms of installation what are some things to be careful about if I do, do it myself or watch a mechanic do it..??

I was thinking two tips. I also pondered the Dual Exhaust but that costs a fortune

The only sensor that is in the entire exhaust system is the O2 sensor if thats what it is in the headers right?
So direct Bolt on and Off? Any things to really look for to make shore nothing blows up :> ?
Does anyone know when they mean lighter then the stock cat back are we talking couple ounces or couple pounds?
