HONDA CIVIC 2003 CD Displays "Eject", CD comes out and doesn't play?

I just bought a Honda civic 2003, and whenever I try to play the CD in the player, the CD comes out. The screen displays "Eject". I have tried several different CDs and none of them work in the CD player. The radio works fine though. Any suggestions???? thanks

It used to play the CDs when I had just bought the car. But, now it's not playing any CDs at all. This happened when I was changing the track.

maybe try a cd lens cleaner if that doesn't work just get after market.

Have you hit any big potholes recently? My friend hit a nasty one and it killed the radio portion of her stereo (the cd still worked but the radio didnt).

maybe also try reseting it by cutting the power to it but before you do make sure you have the radio code to get it working.

I did that one time already, and i do have code, the radio is working fine. its just a cd player.

It's telling you to 'eject' the piece of junk stock cd player, and go aftermarket. : )

I'd try taking the cd player apart, and make sure there isn't anything interfering with the eye, or the cd tray...
