I went back to the stock yellow ones, seemed pretty okay i guess milder on the eyes of on coming traffic.

theres a huge difference in brightness and whiteness. im using ebay aftermarket "oem style" headlamps and with regular halogen bulb i could barely see the road. with the xp bulbs now they are actually safe to drive with. the reflectors suck but the new bulbs help alot. i can try to get a comparo pic side by side if i get a chance. but i do have some old pics in the real oem honda headlamps. the pics are unfortunately not the exact same exposure, but its pretty close to how they look in real life.

philips xp are pure white like my pics. the bulb only has a tiny blue ring at the top otherwise its a clear bulb.

im pretty sure usa and canada does not have these bulbs in stores. otherwise the whole sylvania line would go in the trash if they started importing euro spec bulbs.

nope, 04-05 uses 9006 bulb i believe for lo beam, and 9005 for the hi beam. which i think they make 9006 philips xp but not from that site on sale. you can find them from www.aidauto.com

H4 is both lo and hi in the same bulb for 01-03 civic. 04-05 civic uses two bulbs and the xp is only available in 9006 lo beam.

Sorry for reviving this thread but.. Would I just need to get the 9006 for my 2005? Or would I have to find some 9005 as well? Aid Auto only has 9003, 9006 and H7.

yeah they make em for lo beams which is 9006 for 04-05 civics. the hi beam you can leave stock or if you need something a bunch brighter, the toshiba HIR bulbs can be modded to fit. unless you are always alone on back roads, i wouldnt waste money on the hi beam.
