My gear light blinks

Hello
My civic 2006 suddenly develop this fault but I have taken it to electrician but they couldn't fix it.
When I put drive after sometime, it will start blinking like I put on drive and neutral repeatedly.
It does not stop the car from working normally.
Please who can help me why it happens?
Thanks

Re: My gear light blinks

well electricians don't fix cars...
take it to a mechanic? preferably one that specialises in transmissions, or to the dealer
the blinking gear light means that there is a transmission fault

Thank you for quick response.
I took to mechanic first and he said the same that I should not worry it doesn't mean anything before taking to electrician.
Will it cause any problem in future?
Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Welp, that person sure isn't a problem solver.

Blinking D light means the transmission has set fault codes in the computer. It's just like a check engine light only it's for transmission specific fault codes.
Any real technician with a good scanner and basic troubleshooting skills should be able to help.
