Rep Power: 0 Automatic Transmission fluid level too high ???
Dear forum friends!!!
My name is Paulo, I have a 2007 EXS Honda Civic (8th).
Yesterday I did the partial change of the fluid of the automatic transmission of my HC. It happens that when exhausting the fluid I raised slightly rear of the car to leave more fluid out and It was left exactly 3 liters. I completed with 2.7 liters of honda fluid, cycled the lever and when I measured the level it was about 1 cm above the maximum. The next day I runned about 30 miles with my car and the level still remains 1 cm above the maximum. The transmission seems to work normally but I'm worried with the fluid high level.
Notes:
1. Measure the level with the engine warm, 60 to 90 seconds after turning off, always fully inserting the dipstick.
2. I also measured the level also after several minutes.
Any idea what might be going on? Did I made something wrong?
Thanks in advance for the valuable answers. Best Regards!!!
Paulo
Sorry for my poor google english...

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Automatic Transmission fluid level too high ???
Maybe it was overfilled to begin with?
Just drain a small amount of fluid out to correct the level.

I read this related thread (https://www.civicforums.com/forums/197-mechanical-problems-vehicle-issues-fix-forum/357253-automatic-tranny-fluid-level-overfilled.html) and tomorrow will try to measure the level with the dipstick in different positions. I'll post the result... Thanks!

Re: Automatic Transmission fluid level too high ???
On a automatic transmission thats fully warmed up i like to see the fluid level a tad below full mark for heat expansion on really hot warm days Just because i no it will get up there to Full mark.
