Hello guys. I have a 2010 Honda Civic (75,000m) that sputters at different speeds.... mostly lower speeds. Does any know what it could be???

Do a power balance (rpm drop test)

Re: Need help

No check engine light. If I'm going 18 or 27 miles an hour it does it. It's like the car bucks a little then when I take my foot off the gas then back on it smooths out.

Re: Need help

Torque converter shudder.

When was the trans fluid last serviced?
Never?

Needs to be done every 30k, or more often.

Use Hondas ATF DW-1

Start now!

Re: Need help

OP: Do a transmission fluid drain and fill (some prefer a 3x3 style) as Ezone suggested. If that doesn't resolve the issue then at your own discretion consider using this additive:
Amazon Amazon

Drive at least a few hundred miles without adding the Lubegard to give the new ATF a chance to minimalize or eliminate shudder first. Additives are a last resort and at the user's own risk.

I was going to mention that because I've read you reply that to members on various posts. Additives are always at a user's own risk.

Re: Need help

It has an external filter that can be replaced if you really want to do it.
IMO not necessary.
Replacement is not included with routine fluid services at my dealer.

3 quarts should be enough for one drain and fill.

75000km = 46000 miles, that's not a lot so....If it's really TCC shudder a single fluid drain and fill should improve it a lot. If it does in fact help, then consider changing trans fluid again at the time of your next oil changes

Re: Need help

Hey guys. I've been away for a minute. Just to let you all know I bought the necessary tools and materials to perform the transmission drain and fill. It worked. I'm glad I caught it before further damage. Next I'll be doing a tune up.😎
