Cool Civic 2008 Si Performance Mods

I'm looking to do a few mods on my civic Si 2008. I'm not completely sure on what I'm going to do yet though.
I was thinking about these. But I would like to know about really any mods that aren't super expensive, easy to do, and add some performance, even if it's not a whole lot.
So the ones I was thinking about are:
-Cold air intake
-Catback exhaust.
-New header - Specifically this skunk2 header - https://skunk2.com/exhaust-tuning/he...ha-header.html

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

$500 for a header...Hell NO!!!!!!

It's just four pipes welded together.

Yes do I/H/E

But get them form ebay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-06-11-C...MAAOSwridaPdiU

Then save that extra $400 and by some nice aftermarket camshafts

My problem with buying stuff off ebay is that I'm buying it, and if it fails in some terrible way, it may be on me to replace the part, and the engine. (ya. I know a header failing probably won't destroy the engine but I'm talking really any part)
If I can find a cheaper header that will still supply a similar amount of power then I'm all for it, as king as it has a warranty and is made by a reputable company.

Ill admit I'm kind of a noob when it comes to this kinda stuff. But I don't think I've ever had a great experience with ebay so I'd rather not risk it on my only car and the car that I love and rely on to get everywhere.

I also wasn't planning on getting camshafts cause as I mentioned I'm a noob and 1. Have no idea how to install/replace camshafts and 2. Didn't really want to open up the engine.

Re: Civic 2008 Si Performance Mods

I would suggest doing more research then so you are comfortable with engines before you buy anything. Otherwise you are spending 5 times the price out of fear, and nothing in your life should be a decision out of fear.

I completely agree that no decisions in life should be made out of fear. But $85 seems a little too good to be true, don't you think?

Re: Civic 2008 Si Performance Mods

I don’t have personal experience with those headers but generally cheaper parts won’t last very long. If you keep the car for 5 Year’s I wouldn’t expect the headers to hold up well.

The Chinese have gotten very good at copying parts so no R&D is needed because it was already done by the company that did it (skunk 2). They mimic the design so it does actually perform ok but they still use cheap materials.

Something like a header the worse that I could see happening would be it would crack. Now a cheap turbo could blow apart and get sucked into the engine!!
