"Upgraded" from 8th (2008) to 9th (2015)

So my first car was a 2008 Honda Civic LX Coupe. Last week I sold it and bought a 2015 Honda Civic LX Sedan. I don't know if it's in my head or not, but the 2008 was so much more fun to drive. In particular, steering on the 2015 feels like 4x the effort. I feel like an old man driving the 2015, in contrast the 2008 was begging me to have fun with it!

I wanted to see if anyone else had the same experience? Is it in my head? Am I just being sentimental because it was my first car?

Heavier steering input is desirable in performance cars, especially mechanical input; because the feedback generated gives a better understanding of how the car is handling. Perhaps you will grow to like it.

You may not grow to like the chassis/powerplant though.
