hi. i have Honda Civic Hybrid 2011. Can I use "Prestone Extended Life Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant, 1 Gallon" for my car? i can not buy honda antifreeze

Why not?... It's sold on-line and can be shipped to your door or purchase through local Honda dealership: Honda Coolant Type 2 Blue (dye).

The closest product to Honda Type 2 is Pentosin's Pentofrost A3

You can pour in whatever you want to, but that's not the ideal thing to do.
Is it some emergency and you're stranded at a walmart needing coolant?


Best is the Honda Type 2 coolant, or as mentioned the Pentosin.

I highly recommend honda coolant, one thing you don't want to go with any other brand is definitely coolant for our cars.

I agree to that...! by the way for all who would rather use something else rather than honda coolant

Contains: organic corrosion inhibitors

Pentosin A3: http://www.pentosin.net/specsheets/Pentofrost_A3.pdf
Does not contain: silicate, borate, nitrite, or amine additives
Contains: phosphates and organic salts (corrosion inhibitors)

They are both designed for aluminum engines.
