Re: Winter Rustproofing
ahh... using used motor oil can actualy promote & cause corrosion from the
Acids found in the used oil. not to mention it stinks and is Toxic. LOL
I wonder what EZONE and others use on there Vehicles...? that are susceptible
to Grime & Salt for corrosion protection.?

Re: Winter Rustproofing
Heres 3 Aerosol Products found in my area of Canada which 2 of i have used in the Past .
1st- T40 Krown Great Product Sprays on Nicely as Long as its not too Cold
when Your spraying Your Car Only downside is its dripping T40 for the next
2 weeks.
2nd- Rust Cure formula 3000 is a dripples oil i have used this product once in the Past
Not terrible but Not the greatest either." i sprayed the underneath of my Car with
this stuff and noticed half way through the Winter that a lot of road sand & Salt would
stick underneath although it didn't cause any rusting issues i won't be using it anymore.
3rd- Fluid Film is in-between a runny film & a dripples Oil from what i have read many great
reviews on it. many People swear by it. & have used it for Years on
end. Only downside to Fluid Film is it can't be sprayd on "Natural Rubbers" it will
distort them caused by the Petroluim distillates found in the Formula on the other
hand it can be sprayed safely on "Synthetic Rubbers Ok" what I'm thinking of
doing is spraying the underside of my Vehicles with this stuff and using Krown for
the Doors and Quarter Panels and everything else in-between.
any Sugestions thoughts are welcomed...? (Pics of the Products Below)

Ever consider this stuff: I've never used it and can't comment on it.
Maybe brushed on Flex-Seal would be a better option?
For rusted parts this stuff works very well: http://www.ospho.com/
Spreads very thin so a one quart bottle goes a long way. If you purchase some don't get it on concrete flooring it will etch it so put down cardboard or a waterproof cover to protect the concrete.

Re: Winter Rustproofing
Updating My Post,
I Finished Rustproofing the Civic this morning I ended up using
Rust check Coat & Protect (Green Cap) for the underside and
Krown T40 in the rocker panels and doors, engine bay... etc turned
out really great. for all of You using products like these i would advise
You to wear at least a dust mask and gloves they do give off chemical vapours.

"You Just made me think of this Old Show...!" LOL
But Kiding Aside" 1st time using this dripless Oil Film Product that"s Only used
On the "Underside of Any Vehicle." Leaves a tacky Film Wich it did, Main Key
is to keep Moisture away from Metal and Leave a water resistant Oily Film
behind for Protection. For the rest of the Vehicle I used the Krown Aerosal Spray.
