Boot latch adjustment.

Hi folks. just got a 2007 civic hatch yesterday. When I close the boot it appears to be closed and it won't open on it's own (unless you press the button) but it's kinda loose, with an inch or so of play. Only way to get it to close properly is to slam it really hard.

Been playing with the latch and the striker that it latches on to but it appears as though there is no adjustment. Was expecting to be able to move the striker but the screws are countersunk and locate it in exactly the same place once tightened up/

Latch appears to work OK with a screwdriver. Has 2 stages and clicks into each stage easily so I just assume the hoop is misaligned. Can't see how to adjust the latch though as no visible bolts

Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Best regards,
Dave

Re: Boot latch adjustment.

Ignore my last post, found the hex keys under the trim for the latch adjustment
