'06 hybrid with high miles, worth it?

https://vermont.craigslist.org/cto/6165896939.html

My first two vehicles were 90's civics, loved them! Currently have an old beater buick on its last leg that my husband and I dont want to put any more money into. Would the above car be worth it if I could talk the seller down to $500? Posts states the following:

It's a very solid car everything runs fine I just got a new car so just want to get this one out of the driveway. It has 260,000 miles but you wouldn't be able to tell the motor and transmission is still very strong no noises. It was a fleet vehicle before so it was regularly maintained and taken very good care of. Little to no rust on the body one little dent on the rear bumper. It is fully loaded with leather heated seats automatic everything and more!

Would love any and all advice! I know the hybrid is a completely different beast, and I'm not sure if an older one is a good idea. Hence why I came here. Thanks in advance!

Get it checked out by Your technician before buying it.! seems very cheap to me.

a hybrid battery alone for this can cost a couple of gino's

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

That's an ACCORD hybrid.

It was taken out of service because........it needs a IMA battery?

As a trade in at a dealer it's probably worth exactly squat.
If he can sell it for any amount of cash that's money ahead, unless you count time wasted on tire kickers.
