Issue with serpentine belt

Alright, so after replacing a motor mount that was smacking on the serpentine belt which caused it to shred and eventually snap off, I took it to a mechanic to replace the belt, then after a good 3 miles, my new serpentine belt is completely shredded on both sides and is on its last 3 ribs. What could be the cause of this?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Issue with serpentine belt

Mechanic is broken, replace with known-good mechanic.

What exact car and engine are you dealing with?
Got pics of the damage?

I've not seen a motor mount cause belt damage......this ought to be good.
