Valvoline quick change place for mine. Use their regular oil and filter.

220,000 miles and going fine.

Any 5W-20 Full Synthetic oil and high quality filter on sale, changed every 5K miles. Oil change reminder surely tacks RPM's over time. The higher price and quality of these oil change options is worth it to me, my car frequently encounters 6-7K RPM's. I run it hard but maintain it well.

Any synthetic oil on sale.? think again
I stick to one brand Only wich is Pennzoil Pure Plus 5w20 I don't like
switching to a different brand of oil on every oil change because it could create
a wax build-up in the engine from the additive package from each brand used so my advise
is stick to one brand You like and use it. just my 2 cents.

I have a different engine, but I use Mobil 1 5-30 synthetic with whatever filter is on sale at the time. It runs fine on my conventional engine without leaks. I sometimes use redline racing oil when it's on sale because it is a local business and I like to support them, plus their oil is really awesome.

new from Castrol no mess oil change, its pretty much plug and play
for changing your oil in about 90 seconds flat and could be the next new way
of changing your oil and filter all in one shot. in the near future check it out.

DON'T use Fram filters -even if they are on sale. Reason, I used to buy them until one day I opened and looked at the filter. The treads had metal shaving on them. ..yes I also checked several others and they were the same - had metal shaving on the treads. These metal shaving will go into your engine. Look at where they are manufactured now - Mexico. Quality control? ??

You are being dramatic. I also have been using Fram since my first car. Never had an issue related to my oil. How big were the metal shavings you saw?

Re: what brand of oil & filter do You use..?

My dad has a 91 accord that he got given to him at 200k and has 365k on it. He buys whatever is on sale and brings it out and I change it. There are folks that say stick with one brand or it will destroy your engine. Someone needs to tell this car that. This summer we used 15w40 Shell Rotella because Sams had it on sale. I will say it uses about 3 qts between 5000 mile oil changes. I think that is pretty good considering miles.

No worries on being dramatic. Its my experience, since some of you never exam the product. ...oh well. As for no issues, I'm sure the filter caught the small metal shavings similar to the debris left behind when you tap a new tread. Like I said, oh well. ..
