Rep Power: 0 Bought a '14 coupe today
Hi guys,
I was going to create a thread in the 'introduction' section but I will be spending my time in this sub-section for the majority of my stay. I just purchased a '14 white EX-L coupe today - excited to pick it up ASAP!
Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.
Just curious, did anyone get the rust proofing from Honda? Do you think this is something I should do at a third party? I live in Southern Ontario so I do have to deal with winter climate.
Thanks for any responses in advance!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Bought a '14 coupe today
Welcome to the forums!
The rustproofing you get from the dealer is normally applied by the dealer, usually for astronomical profit and done by the shop rookies, with very little care (at least that's how it is here).
The cars already have rustproof/undercoating on the bottom from the factory, and I did not get any extra on my 12. (I'm in the US rustbelt.)
I don't know what others are doing up your way, but I hear that "Krown" oil based stuff (and others) that gets reapplied yearly is very good.

Re: Bought a '14 coupe today
Congrats on your new purchase. I just bought a '14 LX sedan on Friday and pick it up Tuesday.
No, I don't think you need to spend the extra cash on rustproofing. I live in the northeast US and have not seen a rusted Honda in years.
Good luck!
