Looking at a 2007 Civic, could use some advice

My previous vehicle was a 1999 VW Jetta that died on me at like ~310k miles. I'm currently looking to purchase a car and this one in particular caught my eye: listing (CarFax).

Unfortunately, it also has 167k miles and I've never really bought a car before. Is this something I should stay away from or will it be alright for at least another five years or so?

It is really hard to tell if a car will not cause you any problems. The Carfax is a good tool for determining if it was in an accident but it doesn't tell you if the oil has been changed regularly, trans flushed, cooling system, brakes... I would buy a used Honda with 167K miles if the car looked like it was taken care of and depending on who was selling it. I am also a DIYer so I am not concerned with large repair builds because if for some reason it does break, I will be doing the repairs myself. You take a gamble with any used car you buy, there is just less of a risk with a Honda.

Thanks for the reply! I think I'm going to keep searching. Another nice one is bound to show up eventually with decent mileage.

167K is just a little over a quarter of the way there...I've got 3 down, with 3 to go!
