2001 Tranny problems
I'm looking at buying a used 2001 Honda civic and I read in www.carcomplaints.com that this year had a lot transmission issues. Any thoughts on this on a car with 145,000 miles?

Tough to say. Check the fluid, has it been flushed?
Check out the gears, do they slip or grind?
If so, look towards another civic or something else. 145k most mechanics wont even touch an auto transmission. Running a conditioner and cleaner will degrade more than help.
Hope this helps. My car has 136k, and has been flushed several times. It is a 02, and from time to time reverse does not catch fully first try. Not too much to worry about but yes, 01-03 has some transmission problems, not that big of a deal, unless it was driven bad, or never serviced.
