2008 civic aux cord overheating?
I looked all over before posting so sorry this isn't as civic related as it should be but would an aux mp3 cord left inside my car overheat and become unusable? I live in socal n the average temp is 97

The temps inside a closed up car in direct sun can easily be close to 200 degrees.

I wouldn't be surprised if that would melt a cheapo cord.

I've seen a couple problems with cheapo ebay knock-off ipod cords.

I bought the cord in autozone for $15 but i guess there is little things that can withstand hours of that high a temperature daily and still function thanks

Considering the inner wires insulation used these days is a thin coat of paint.... not surprising.
