Could you be more specific? From where, what side of the car, front or back, could be the wheel wells, underspoiler, lots of things..

Yea that's a little to general. Does it sound rotational (gets louder as you go faster)? Does it go way when you stop or steer?

Are you modified? Lowered, aftermarket wheels? Was any maintenance done recently?

Re: my car makes a rubbing noise when starting from a dead stop

ya i realized, sorry. i bought it with a pucked clutch? good or bad? i am so clueless on these its the first time i heard of it. the noise stops after i get going. its there whether i start in 1st or 2nd and as aftermarket goes only wheels and thats about it except for exhaust which is irrelevant.

It is from the front or back? Not sure what a pucked clutch is unless you mean something else...

still could be a million things the way you descrive it... how are your brakes? are they worn in the front bad?

Re: my car makes a rubbing noise when starting from a dead stop

i guess its some sort of race clutch designed for hard launches. if i wouldve known this prior probably would have avoided it since i live in orange county where red lights are plentiful. the noise is in the front and when i rev around 2-2.5 k and drop the clutch its totally fine and no noise is made just when riding the clutch in parking lots when backing up and such.

Re: my car makes a rubbing noise when starting from a dead stop

ok, well i would check for a couple things, check your wheel wells and make sure the plastic is not hanging or loose at all, have someone turn the wheels left and right and make sure they dont rub at all, Check the inside of your tires and see if they are showing signs of rubbing. Then check your supspension and other stuff like your CV boots, make sure they are not cut or leaking..
