My wife has a 2006 coupe SI. The brights are nice and bright but the dims suck! I want to get her hids asap! The kits vary from $25 to $200ish, and I don't know which kit to get. Moneys no problem but I don't want to spend $165 plus shipping for the Morimoto kit if a $80 kits just as good. Also can you run the stock lights? All I hear is that projectors suck! lol.

Heres a light with hids for the dim side for $350 shipped. I honestly like the halos though lol. This light and hid kit comes from StrictlyHID.


DDMtuning had a kit shipped for $50.


Now a buddy said get the Morimoto kit with a D2R bulb because its stock in car with no projectors but it'll need a little fab work to go into a 9006 headlight housing.

Anyone? Oh and StrictlyHID's kit for the dim hid are a Zenon kit for $80 shipped. The lights are $270.

I do believe your stock low beams are HB4 type bulbs. You can install HB3, 65 watt bulbs for cheaper than a HID system. You just have to do a few simple mods to the bulbs, such as removing two tabs from the connector slot and trimming the tab at the 12:00 position. The bulbs are about 10 bucks each. Good luck.
