Hello!
I was wondering if people had some tips on changing a serpentine belt on a 2008 Civic 1.8. I am trying to help a friend. When I push the tensioner towards the fire wall there still in not enough slack to get the belt around the alternator pulley. Is it best to take off the passenger side wheel to make the belt change easier?
Any suggestions appreciated!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Another hint: Don't try to get the belt off of the alt pulley. Slip it off of one of the smooth pulleys.
