Rep Power: 0 Which HID kit?
My wife has a '06 Civic that's hard to see with the dim lights on, now when the brights are on it's great. Which HID kit should I get her for the dim side to see really good at night? The SI is a great car with a few downfalls but they need to be fixed.

Have you tried upping to a brighter halogen bulb?
HID bulbs were not designed for use in a halogen reflector housing, so if you want to go that route you should also be putting in HID projectors.

I got a set for my sisters 2007 si and that was a few years ago. She has never had any issues with them as of yet.
Here is a link to the place there kits seem to be durable compared to some of the cheapr ones.

Silverstars are very over rated, they don't compare to phillips extreme power.
HIDs won't improve light output that much, because the headlights aren't designed for them. They need to be sent out through a projector as a focused beam to deliver light effectively and not blind every on coming driver.

i had just regular oem replacement bulbs. then bought silverstars and was really impressed. but one blew after a while and i tried the zxe silverstars and their a lot brighter than regular silverstars. however projectors with hids are the way to go if your looking for light output

Can anyone please point me towards a good HID light kit? I can get some projectors later on because I know where to find those. They are easier to decide on than a HID kit. I want the bulbs and wiring not just the bulbs. I've tried them all and they all suck! My wife drives at night a lot and I don't want her in a wreck and in ICU for other than being part of the staff. They also need all their nurses there.

4300k is the best choice if you are mostly concerned with functionality and light output

then get the HID harness when u order so ur not drawing too much power through the stock headlight wiring.

Re: Which HID kit?
I have purchased several kits from Accessory Zone. Put them in my sisters car, mine and the wife's car. Never had any issues with the kits.

Yea I want to look around. My buddy got a 6000k kit for $39, he said it came with the wiring, boxes and all. I thought he got the lights only lol. It was some eBay kit. Basically I want a bright white light that lights the night up to get her driving safely to work and not hit a deer or anything from dim lights. The brights are great but when meeting cars she can barely see on dim. The price range I'd like to get into a kit for no more than $300 shipped to me, more than that and I'll buy a car with brighter lights lol.

I looked on DDM but so many questions for this newbe to know. Which kit for her 2006 SI? 35/55watt, in/out harness, different things that I'm just not sure of. I think the 2006 Civic uses the 2006/dim, and 2005/bright bulbs which this would be a 2006/dim kit but not sure what else I need? I know I want the road bright white and not colored.
