Question 06 Civic EX Sedan clutch upgrade

Ive got a 2006 civic EX with basic performance mods(intake, exhaust) and in need of new clutch and wanting to upgrade it. I have a couple of questions-

Keep in mind im trying to get the best for the money. Willing to spend between 200-350. Maybe higher if it is worth it.

Do i get a clutch kit?
If not then what do i get, if yes then what are some good brands/wbsites to look at?

Re: 06 Civic EX Sedan clutch upgrade

wht is wrong with ur clutch right now? is it slipping/worn out???

there are no real advantages for you to get a clutch kit (like a stage 1,2,3) unless you start making some real HP like in the 200whp+ and you beat the **** out of ur clutch.

with just intake/exhaust mod, all you will do is make ur clutch peddle heavier.

Re: 06 Civic EX Sedan clutch upgrade

if ur stock clutch is fine, dont mess with it, unless you really want to have a heavier clutch for no reason....or have too much money and dont know what to do.

what will help you car out is if u get a lighter flywheel. the stock is somewhere between 18-22lbs. most aftermarket is about 8-10lbs.

Re: 06 Civic EX Sedan clutch upgrade

My stock clutch is worn out. So just repalce it and get aftermarket flywheel?
