2010 Honda Civic problem

Looking for some help/info. I have a 2010 Honda Civic with 1800 miles on it. On Friday I left home and within minutes the car was jerking and misfiring. The check engine light was flashing. Nursed it back home and my husband took it to the end of the driveway and had the same problem. You could even see the tailpipe jerking. Called the dealer who told us to bring it in (!). As we live 45 miles away we told them to come get it. By the end of the day the service department called us to say that they not only couldn't find a problem, there wasn't even any noted in the memory.

If the check engine light is flashing, that means a problem correct?

Re: 2010 Honda Civic problem

Yes. There should be a code in memory if they didn't wipe it. Go down to Autozone and have them scan it and see what comes up. If there's nothing in memory then they wiped it. Your then gonna have to wait and see if it does it again. When it does, go have Autozone scan it and tell us the code(s) so we can tell you what to look for.

Re: 2010 Honda Civic problem

Hi my new honda civic 2010 car does not start. I used the boost cable and the car started but after some times the power kind of shuts off and comes back. I have not used the car during winter. And last week i used the booster cable and jump started the car. It worked fine then i see the power shuts off and comes back. The power does not shut off fully. It just gets weak and then comes back. And the engine gets warm when i touch the hood. What seems to be the problem?
