tire problems...help!!!

I Have a 06' civic ex.bought it in sept 05' brand new. I have replaced the tire practically every 1- 1 1/2 yrs. WHY? the tires wear extremely fast. I don't hot rod and peel out or drive horrible. I put pirellis on last sept thinking high quality tire should solve the problem but took it in for a safety inspection the other day and they said that one tire one the passenger side barley passed. I have 88,000 miles on the car and get the tires rotated every oil change, so 3 - 4,000 miles. Does anyone else have this problem? or can anyone suggest what i do about it. I'm sick of buying tires every year and want to fix the main problem. Any Advise.........

Re: tire problems...help!!!

How much mileage do you get from each set? Are they wearing out evenly?

Are you using H, V or higher speed rating? example: 205/55r16 (92H)

If you have stock Civic.... use S or T rated tires to get more mileage. Having said that, one to two years sounds terrible.

Check your Air Pressure regularly too. This causes pre mature wear if incorrect.

Sometimes high quality tires offer lots of grip for high performance driving but they wear out really fast.

Check out the reviews on Tire Rack to see which tire for your car will last longer.
