Rep Power: 0 Evap problem help
Hi everybody,
Today my 09 Civic had the engine light on and the codes are P1446 and P0455.
I found out that they are:
P1446
Evaporative Vac Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
P0455
Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
Could anyone tell me can I fix the car by myself or definitely have to bring her to the service. How long can I drive like that?
If i can I fix it - where can I locate this solenoid??
Thanks

The evap solenoid is located at the fuel tank. And from the sound of the codes there is probably just a vacuum leak back there which is causing to throw both codes. If you think that you are good enough to try to take this on then you can try it. If not then you might want to take it to a mechanic.
If you think you can do it then go buy a service manual for your car unless you already have one and see what it takes to do the job.
