Ideas for audio deck replacement

I would like to know if there is a sound system replacement available ,that uses a usb port , to play mp3's (, as an option to a separate mp3 player)

I have an 2007 Civic EX, with audio control on the steering wheel.
I'm also trying to keep the Honda original look like

Thank you

Re: Ideas for audio deck replacement

it will be hard to keep the factory unit and add usb support. altho some newer honda are starting to include usb kits. so far i think the best solution for keeping factory deck AND steering wheel controls is an ipod with direct connect (PA11-HON) to the factory deck. basically turns the ipod into a cd changer that can be controled thru the deck and its controls. and it charges the ipod so you never need to take it out. youre only limited by what ipod you buy and the space it has for songs. i recently bought the 16gb nano and am using that in my civic factory stereo. you may be able to use a regular ipod with more space, but some people have reported hard drive problems from all the bumps, since it was not designed for in-car use. the nano uses flash memory with no moving parts and is much safer.

Re: Ideas for audio deck replacement

MP3/USB capability is pretty much standard on aftermarkets these days, even the cheapy ones.

My 2010 EX stock comes with a USB plug. So glad I saved some of my USB dongles. Pretty much instant access and remembers last track/position, just no search capability.
