Civic 07 - battery died

Hi i have 07 civic, and I had to jump start yesterday. Its working now but i planned to change it.

During my search i found Costco has some Interstate Battery - Optima Yellow 51R with CCA of 500A and reserve capacity of 85.

I am not sure if this is compatible with 07 model. Can some one please confirm or give your thoughts on this particular model of battery?

Thanks!!
Nick

Re: Civic 07 - battery died

stay away from optima. get a regular lead-acid battery with 500cca. the honda dealer has some, and most auto stores also have group51. your old battery should have the size on it.

Re: Civic 07 - battery died

actually i read it wrong in costco. Its actually "Interstate Batter Fitment Code#11" Interchangeable with optima Yellow 51R Fitment code#21. So I picked it up coz it had 51R in it //but now thinking back i am not sure if its the right one for my car (Civic 07). can someone confirm if it will work? Thanks !

Re: Civic 07 - battery died

i would stick with the size you have. i use 51 in my 02 civic and no other battery ive seen would fit.
