07 civic problem

I have an 07 civic ex sedan factory audio system non nav. My front door speakers stop working all together first the passenger then a month later the drivers side. All of my other speakers work fine. Any help would be great

Re: 07 civic problem

Either a wiring issue or you blew them. Have you had the stereo up loud?

Re: 07 civic problem

Just check to see if the speakers are blown and if not then there is probably a wiring issue somewhere.

Re: 07 civic problem

I am thinking short in a wire or a loose wire at a speaker terminal ... expecially if it comes and goes. Corrosion at the speaker terminal ?

If it was dead then maybe blown speakers.
Even some blown speakers can issue a hiss or hum sometimes , may be very low to hear and independant of volume control.

I think if there was a blown fuse you would loose the whole unit or if this was the AMP fuse you would loose the rear speakers . Not sure if the amp has it's own fuse though, and the amp is on the optional 300W speaker system.

I do not think the fronts have their own fuses.

Re: 07 civic problem

I want to thank you all for your help I think I'm gonna do the speaker upgrade and rewire. It's funny cause before this happened I was thinking about upgrading the front and rear speakers.
