Question How do I control my iPod in 2009 Civic ex??

It has an iPod hook up and I know how to control it, but when I set it to ARTIST or whatever and try to find say.. "Metallica" or something that is in the middle of the alphabet, it takes me FOREVER to turn the little dial all the way to the Ms because I have to much music on my iPod. Is there a faster way to get to what you are looking for??? I'm confused.

They didn't exactly give me a tutorial on how to work the ipod controls on the car. I always have it on shuffle because it's too much of a hassle to find what I want to listen to, unless I unplug the ipod and look for it that way since you can't change the music using the actual ipod when its connected to the car, but this isn't exactly something you should be doing when trying to drive. And it's also not convenient at all. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or can explain this to me?? Is there a website or something that tells you how to work it?

can't you organize songs into folders and then search folders instead of individual songs? im not big on ipod but most basic music players let you organize mp3 into different folders and seek by folder or song.

Isn't the dial on the stereo just the same as the dial on the ipod? That's what we did when my buddy had his in my car. I have a zune and hate the world right now because microsoft was too smart to think about making them work with this type of system.

Yes, turning the dial until you get to the M's is the only way when searching by Artist.

However, you could make a play list just for Metallica or any other favorite Artist that is further down the alphabet and have fewer revolutions to make with the dial that way.
