Rep Power: 0 Ticking engine noise at idle
I've recently started noticing a slight ticking noise at idle when my engine is warm in park. If I tap the throttle and increase engine speed it goes away. This has been noticed with cold weather other times as well. I've never noticed it during the heat of summer. I'm using Mobile Clean 5000 5/20 conventional oil. I've been thinking of switching to Castrol and possibly changing to 5/30. I'm a little worried that maybe the 5/20 is just too watery? Strange that it's ticking now. I could see it more of a hot weather issue. Any ideas/advice with oil? Thanks in advance.
I have a 08 Civic EX Coupe Auto. 28k miles.

ticking is usually normal civic valve lifter noises. valves dont need adjustment til 100k miles. and yeah, 5w20 is way too thin if you drive in hot climates (80F+ degrees). 5w30 is much more reliable and safer for the engine.
