want to buy a new civic any known problems with 09 si's?

i am looking at either buying a new 2009 civic si coupe at the beginning of the 2010. i am wondering if there are any known problems with the si or recalls? or if there are going to be any changes to the 2010 si? more torque hp or leather idk? thanks for the help. also does anyone think they will EVER bring the type r to the states? i would love to get one lol

theres still the big manual transmission problem where it wont go into gear or pop out of gear on occasion. not sure if they have a fix yet.

ok well i might just wait for the 2010 si so the 2010 will probly be pretty much the same as 2009? maybe some minor changes?

yeah im guessing 10 will be pretty similar. i think 11 will be the new facelift model and generation.

there's no recall or TSB on manual trans for 09 SI's yet....with hybrid CRX replacement introduced, honda will likely go with hybrid or gas saving civic than typr R version...

but the radio display peeling is most common among 09 SI's....and 2010 will not have any changes besides the valve cover being different....i forgot the color that's it....09 was minor change...

alright well thanks for the info once i pay off my 2004 civic which should be soon i will hopefully be getting a 2009 civic si coupe. is the reliability good on these since it is honda's more sporty car? and obviously if i take car of it and dont drive it like im in nascar lol but can i expect 150-200k from the k20?

If you take care of it properly you can expect a lot more than that from it.

o alright i wasnt sure since this is there kinda sporty engine and car if it would have the same reliability to go 250k plus like most other hondas thanks alot guys hopefully i will be getting a new si coupe in about 6 months
