Is the plastic housing of the mirror broken... Or the mirror glass itself ??

it's not difficult to replace side mirror and check ebay and you should find plenty of mirrors for your car

The mirror glass replacement is available separate.

You should call a local glass shop and ask them about it.

I don't know if anyone has the 8th gen service manuals on here or not... On the 7th gens the glass pops out and the new glass clips into place (there is a holder on the back of the glass)
Sound scary to me though.

It looks scary to me as well.and i dont have a manual either. have being looking for a way to install the mirror myself for days now, but still no luck.

The mirror in the video was an 8th gen mirror like yours, they did not even use any tools. Your original is already cracked, so pry it off (gently)then see how the the new mirror's backside looks compared to old one and snap it in position.

Ask a glass shop to help. They probably do them all the time.

my friend had to replace her side view mirror on her 05 CR-V. it cost about $400 at the dealership. Obviously you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
