Cabin air filter - CHANGE

I just changed the air cabin filter in my 07 coupe- 12,000 miles and 18 months of use - the thing was unbeliveably filthy.
Did not expect it to be so bad, but it was black, full of leaves and twigs and
half of a dead firefly. (Nobody smokes in my car-FYI)

Immediately noticed more air flow at the lowest speed of the fan ( set on "vents only")
I would recomend everybody to check and change this - you would be surprised.
Just empty the glove box, fold the box down , and unlatch and pull the filter housing straight out. Takes 3 minutes. 20 $ for the filter ??
Youtube has a video on this if you need to see it- but the glove box needs to be pinched in on the sides to drop down - no tools needed.

Re: Cabin air filter - CHANGE

Glad I saw this post. '08 Si sedan owner and I didn't realize that I had an A/C filter to replace. Went out and checked and sure enough it is dirty. After market types just as good as manufacturer (filter is a filter)?

Re: Cabin air filter - CHANGE

napa gold (from napa auto parts) is really good brand for the filter made by WIX.
