I was offered a sweet trade in for my 99 civic towards a 2009 dxg

only thing holding me back is theres still 4 weeks of winter driving up here in canada and I dont feel like spending 5/6 hundred bucks on new winter tires for new 09 civic only to have them removed in 4 weeks to put the all-seasons back on

why dont I just wait 4 weeks to make the deal then ?
cause my 99 has leaking brake lines which need repairing (the dealer is aware of this and still gave me good trade in value)

so its either
1-drive the new civic for 4 more weeks of winter with all-season tires

2-drive my 99 civic which has a sweet set of bridgestone blizaks//but leaking brake lines for 4 more weeks

and finally , heres my question

the blizzaks are 185 size and the all season on the 09 is 195 size

would it be ok to have the dealer put my blizzak 185's on the new dxg for 4 weeks ? or would that size differential be too much

the blizzaks are on a set of steel rims so it's just be a simple transfer.

just seems like alot of tire shuffling for a 4 week period

Do the deal!

Number one: Brake failure is not unlikely with leaky brake lines and therefore, could result in death or serious injury!

Number two: The "sweet trade" deal you were offered is likely not going to be the same in 4 weeks. The car will likely be gone and replaced with another that they will be prouder of therefore it will be more expensive.

Number three: Just air down your tires when necessary for the four weeks and be careful. They are brand new tires, so even if they are all season they should suffice for 4 weeks!
