I've got a 2009 LX sedan auto with 25k miles on it since buying it new last July. I haven't had any issues with it. I put 140 miles a day on it commuting to work. Worst mileage I have seen has been 29 mpg. Best mileage was 37 mpg.

If yours runs as weak as mine, keep the air off, it doesn't work well enough in mine to justify the hit on gas mileage.

My 09 (5k miles) has been pretty good so far. I had a meaningless low tire pressure indicator go off and an oil leak, but other than that it's all good.

I have a 2007 Galaxy Grey 4 door sedan I bought with 12,000 miles on it in Jan. It now has 27,000 miles on it and is in the body shop at the Honda dealer here in Daytona Beach. Someone hit the car's front bumper and the whole thing has to be replaced, they of course didn't leave their name or number at all. I am averaging about 44 mpg on it.

I have a 2008 Si sedan with about 32,000 miles. I haven't been all that impressed. Problems:
- Rattles in both front doors.
- Rattle in glove compartment.
- Rattles in both visors (had to get both replaced).
- Knocking in rear right strut (had to be replaced).
- Intermittently stuck thermometer.
- Rattle in passenger seat (several internal parts had to be replaced).
- Driver side weather stripping split.

2010 EX, had it for 2 months, put 6k miles on it. Ride seems extremely bumpy/harsh to where I though I had wheels out of balance. Engine also rumbles around a bit when idle.
Still, it's a fun little car. I've taken it on 5 10hr roadtrips so far, and it's been good to me.
Driving it in to the ground, but when it finally croaks someday it's time for a truck.

'10 LX sedan for 8 months so far, 12,000+ miles
The car isn't fast, doesn't handle well, has fairly cheap materials for the interior and has zero sex appeal
and I love it
Why?
If you consider cost per performance, it is faster than a 599GTO, handles better than a Boxter and is more luxurious than an E500
Best in class, this car

I guess I shall update my own post. Now I'm at 45k miles and that cold weather noise was fixed last winter before the warranty went up. It was a bad belt tensioner. Still made the noise after that. They replaced the belt and it's gone. Apparently the bad tensioner had fatigued the belt. If you ever have your belt tensioner replaced under warranty insist on a new belt.
Other than that it's been trouble free. This weekend I was washing and waxing and noticed the hood has bunches of tiny little cracks all over under thh clear. Not sure if they'll cover this, but I'll call them up.
Never mind, I called my original dealer and they said the paint is under the 3/36 warranty. I thought car companies stood behind the finish for 6 years? Oh well, I guess I'll paint it myself. It will probably require a whole pint of paint and i have a compressor and gun and know-how. That hood is like 2 square ft. LoL.

Took my 2010 Civic lx 5-speed off the dealership lot six months ago and have put 11,500 miles on it. This is the second honda i have owned and I am still loving em. The only light thats come on is the tire pressure indicator light and thats about it. I have yet to test this car during a new england winter but im confident this car will do fine. The only thing honda has yet to impress me with yet is their stock sound systems...

My '10 Ex has started a habit of kicking itself out of 2nd gear if I am not on the gas. Wonder how many more undiagnosable problems I will get to deal with throughout this lease. 2012 can't come soon enough!!

Update to mine....
My '09 LX sedan now has just under 36k miles on it. I bent one of the steel rims a couple weeks ago, and my new MB Wheels are on order. Other than that, the car has been running great and I have been averaging 33 mpg since the day I bought it. I commute 130 miles/day and drive locally on weekends.

Re: 8th Gen Civic--What's your experience???
I owned a Toyota Corolla before this and I hated everything about it, I just had to drive the Civic for a second before I knew I needed to trade my Toyota for it, I traded it within the week.
I had it since new and it has only gone sorta wrong once, it dropped one of the gearbox mounts on a bump and had to get it replaced, but I understand this is not normal behavior...
Other than that, have nothing to report, but then again I have like 18k miles on it, so it's all good, I'll put photos on my profile later today

My 2009 Civic Coupe has 18,000 miles on it and it runs and handles great with 34 MPG average. The only problem the Civic had was a self destructing sun visor. The dealer said it is a common problem. So like fix It Honda!

Re: 8th Gen Civic--What's your experience???
My experience has been poor! Bought the 07 Civic LE new in Nov. 2006. With less than 900kms on the car and less than 2 weeks after I bought it, I complained about the alignment. My dealer said alignment wasn't covered after I drove it off the lot, and wanted to charge me full price for an alignment. I took it to a local tire shop and paid to have it aligned. Was told it was the rear that was way out of alignment. This was my last experience with this dealer.
Since I've had the car it will not start unless plugged in below -28C. This is useless in Alberta, Canada.
I put up with the annoying fan that 'roars' and runs for about 5 seconds every minute, the clunks from every corner of the car when it's cold out (all winter), the noisy power train, and all the little squeeks and rattles.
Now I have a new problem. The tires started making a wooop wooop wooop noise that is so loud it's hard to carry on a conversation in the car. I see the tires are all cupped (I rotate them regularily). Same with my winter tires. The problem is the rear upper control arms need a kit (common problem on these Civics that Honda knows about but it's just a TSB and not a recall). Since my car is out of warranty I will have to pay it, plus a 4 wheel alignment, plus a new set of summer and winter tires.
I have 115,000 kms on the car and am very disappointed with it. This will be my first and last Honda.

I have a 2008 Civic LE Sedan that has 52,000KM.
It's gutless but the size and gas mileage suits my needs for now. Wish I could get a little more power out of this car without getting a turbo kit.
I dont want to mess with the engine and give Honda an excuse not to cover my warranty.

06 LX closing in on 100k got about 94 now. never had any big issues that were not self inflicted. Front speakers have been going out lately( not sure what that is about) but the car is smooth only had to get 2 sets of tires since i got it. probably need to get timing belt changed soon but i like to procrastinate.

I have a 2007 LX sedan with 43,000 miles on it. I've had the visor problem, and something in the rear suspension replaced by factory recall. Needed new battery four months ago. I get about 27mpg around town with A/C running (Texas heat), have seen 39mpg highway with no A/C. I've owned 4 Accords and 3 Civics in the last 35 years. This a pretty basic car, but it's of a size I feel comfortable in. Acceleration is fine with the automatic, and it handles pretty well (not as well as my Porsche or Alfa did, but I didn’t expect it to). All in all, very satisfactory.
