Dead pedal reinstall help.

?? Reinstalling dead pedal ??

mine is 06 EX.

anyone know how can i reinstall the dead pedal?
i removed it to reach the sockets under the fuse box.
but now, i couldn't put back the dead pedal into place.
i found that the holding **** is only turnable in one way, (clkwise/anti i forgot)
it's turnable in the way to release the pedal, but not in the other.
i tried to turn the screws reversely. but the front screw is not reversible. it's a one way screw. i am not sure why.
so anyone know how to reinstall it?

thanks.

Re: Dead pedal reinstall help.

hmm i have no idea. on the older civics it was a plastic something and you just push it back in place. now i remember. yeah you can unscrew it, but it needs to be pushed back on. just shove it on there it should snap in place.

Go to the dealer and spend the money or to an auto body shop.

mine is still loose for some reason too it never locks completely down. i think you may just need to buy a new cap piece.

Re: Dead pedal reinstall help.

I was assuming your car was still on warranty, even though it's no big deal it's all how you approach the service rep. I'm sure mine would do it for free ... No ****.

Re: Dead pedal reinstall help.

I removed mine to install carpet runners. To get it back on, install the bottom first. That funny looking thing you turn with an allen wrench only requires about 1/2 a turn to get it back on. (Yeah, it only turns one way) Then push that top button back in with your finger or thumb.
