1.8L R18 K&N intake ?

Anybody have the K&N Typhoon intake installed, and care to offer an option if it is worth it ?
My concern is that there is a loss of torque or low end pull and the 5 HP gain at the 5500 and up range is not where my daily driver will be at often enough.
Supposeldy Honda has the intake resonator and the dual length runners tuned properly, and I do not want to screw up a good thing.

If there are any real owners of this installed please let me know. Thanks.
I have a 2007 EX coupe, FYI.

Re: 1.8L R18 K&N intake ?

if you drive below 5k rpms mostly, stay with stock airbox. newer civics are already very well tuned. in fact, a new civic si with hondata reflash only got maybe 1hp more and no torque increase. all it did was shift the powerband down by 1k rpms.
