Power Jack in Armrest

Hey All,

I just got an 07 Civic Lx. The specs say that it is not supposed to have a power jack in the armrest, but mine does. However, it does not work. Does anyone with an 07 (or 06) have this, and does it work? Thanks!

Chris

Thats odd! Mine works in my 06 coupe EX. Maybe its a problem with what ever you are plugging in...try that first, then if not, use that good ole warranty! Good luck!

Glad that yours is working. The specs from Honda say that the LX isnt supposed to have the outlet in the armrest (the EX SI and Hybrid all do, but the DX and LX dont). Next time I go back to Honda I will have the check it, I was just being curious.

Thanks for the response!

my guess is that they broke something on your car durring trans[port and had an ex part laying around or something.. either way, i would go up there and demand they get it working since it was in there when they bought it... 'cause that's something handy to have, so you may as well take advantage of getting one by chance

I am willing to bet that it is possible some new guy at the factory grabbed the wrong part and threw it in there. Or maybe it was his last day at Honda and his new job at Toyota started the next morning....who knows?

Thanks for the help. Im going to go back to the dealer and make them fix it, whether it should be there or not.

Re: Power Jack in Armrest

Had the same problem with the outlet on my '07 Si. It was a connector that was left unconnected. Remove the shift **** then pull up on the plastic casing around it. The connector should be under it on the right side. There is another connector farther back but I don't know how to get at it.
