In my manual (06 LX 5-sp sedan) it says you can set the doors to auto lock and auto un-lock with the drivers side door. I have read through the instructions several times and tried to set to Auto Lock to “on” but it does not work. I thought it might only be with the automatics but I’m sure the manual says you can set it with the manual transmission. Has anyone tried this successfully?

I have done it on our automatic ex sedan. If you are setting the auto-lock, first
turn the key on to accesories
hold the lock button down. you will hear the lock click, then a few seconds later, when you hear it click again, release it
turn the key to the off position within 5 seconds
To set the auto unlock, do the same thing as above, but hold the unlock button down instead
Good luck

Rep Power: 0 The car should of come with default factory setting which is: car locks whenever you reach the speed of 9 MPH or I believe 14 KPH and unlocks only the Driver's door whenever you put it to Park. That's for US. Canada might not have this option at all on the LX sedans. But in any case, my manual also mentions that you have to set your parking brake before you press the Lock/Unlock buttons.

I have an 06 EX 5-sp sedan.
I have successfully set the doors to auto-lock and driver's door unlock by following the owner's manual. Be advised that auto-unlock ONLY unlocks the driver's door.
