Hi,

I am thinking of buying 2007 Honda Civic LX, I took a test drive on saturday, liked the vehicle however the only conern i am having currently is i am unable to see the front hood from the Driver's seat, i am used to see the front hood while parking and also while making sharp curves.

This is the only reason that is stopping me to buy this new civic. Pls give me any ideas/suggestions to overome this problem?

this bothered me at first too, but i quickly got over it. Its not that big of deal, just gotta know how to judge without looking at the hood. Sorry i couldnt help more.

yea i thought it would be a big problem, i used to drive a 92 celica, and driving anything compared to that would have been bigger. You get used to at after a while, and when u ask most people can't see the ends of their hoods either, u just get to know after a while. I occasionally drive my dads s-class and that thing is huge, the only way i can tell is the tri star on the hood. If that's the only problem u have with the car, don't let it stop you, u get used to it quickly, and when u drive anything else it seems small, b/c the civic dash is huge too.

While sitting in the driver's seat (with engine OFF) have someone stand in each front corner of the car. Visually you will see just how close you can get to another vehicle. It's pretty freaky when you finally realise just how short the hood/bumpers are and how close you can get.

And yes, you do get used to it after a very short time behind the wheel.

Haha Yea When I First Got Mine I Would Be Poking Around Trying To Bring It Into The Shop And My Techs Are Like Geez Man Come On You Have Got 4 Feet Here, You Get Use To It.
