Rep Power: 0 Is there anyway to tell the build date?
I am about to take delivery of a new '06 EX Couple, Atomic Blue with A/T.
Since this is the end of the run for 06's and 07's are about a month away, I wanted to know if there is a way to tell when this car was built. My concern is that I don't want an early cycle car as I have read numerous complaints regarding quality control issues, etc. (ie consumer rewiews on edmunds.com).
I don't regard this as a deal breaker since my experience with Honda, (we also have 06 Pilot w/nav), is Honda's are pretty much bullet proof.
Thanks for any help.

Rep Power: 0 Doesn't it tell you the month/year on the driver's door jam? I'm not sure. The lady drives the Civic & I drive an Accord, both are daily drivers so yeah. I only touch the Civic on the weekends when we're out.

yes, that will be the build date in the door jam but you need to just make sure it's a 2007 model.. is what i would do.. and the way to be sure of that is look under the hood at the emissions sticker.. it will say something like this vehicle conforms w/ all emissions regulations for the model year 2007...... either that or i woudlnt' take one that is older than june of 06.. which will still be considered a 2006... but they should have resolved all the little quirks by then..

Thank you for the help, I am hoping the car is built later in the cycle for an 06, apparently the coupe's have sold so well that there aren't any early models sitting on dealerships lots, but thanks to your tips I'll be able to check the door jamb as well.

Rep Power: 0 Saw my car yesterday being detailed for delivery today
I saw the sticker inside the door as per posts to this thread and it shows 07/06 so that's great.
The loner they lent me which is a 06 Sedan, has a 12/05 sticker in the door. Thanks for the information Guys!
