Rep Power: 0 Need to Ziebart?
Hello All,
Today I purchased an 06 4-Dr LX AT for my husband (he picked Gray). It is our 1st Civic after years of Accord and Camry ownership.
(It was an onerous process negotiating for this in-demand little car!)
The dealer didn't suggest an undercoat pkg and was wondering what the thinking is now. Do we need it? I live in Washington, DC area and plan to keep the car for 10 yr/150k miles. Has anyone had experience combining undercoating with window tinting for a price break? Any recommendations or things to steer clear of?
Thanks.

This doesn't help you much, but I managed to get the dealer to throw in a window tint when I bought it. They aren't willing to negotiate much on a car that is in such demand, but they will often throw in stuff like that if you ask(demand). Something like that costs the dealer only a few bucks, but makes me a happy customer.
I did the undercoating, only because I drive a lot on gravel roads and it does cut down on the noise quite a bit. They gave me a reduced price on that as well.
Also, I found my Honda dealer did a much better job than Ziebart did on my last car. The Ziebart job had lint and crap under the tint, causing bubbles. I guess that depends on the installer though and would not be indicative of all dealers.
Good luck.
P.S. Mine is the silver color, the tint really makes it stand out. Looks really sharp. Went with a 20% tint on the back and rear sides.
