Is there are subwoofer preout (Aux Red/White) for an amp to connect subwoofers in the trunk? This would be greatly appreciated because I dont want to waste the factory stereo by using an aftermarket one, plus it would look retarded not using the fitted stereo.

subwoofer
Well, I can answer that question for you in a couple of days.
Yesterday, I went to shop for stereo upgrade of my new 2007 Honda Civic EX Sedan. what I decided on with the help of the installer/hi-fi guy.
--the original factory radio/CD stays in place. I am not going to replace that.
--Alpine R component speakers goes to the front. Factory speakers stays at the back.
--Alpine 4 Channel amp will go to the trunk, (attached to the rear seat back.) 2 channel will power the new front Alpine R speakers..
-- the other 2 channels amp with power a custom made 10 inch Alpine S subwoofer in the trunk. It will be on the same side as the amp. I am not sure which side it will be on, whether the 60 side or the 40 side. the installer will figure that out.
--I think the subwoofer will be removable, so as to get at the spare tire.
It will sound great!
Plastics.

speakers/amp/subwoofer installed!
Well, it took the installers 7 hours to install,
--2 Alpine R compenent speakers for the front
--Alpine 50 Watt 4 Channel Amp, this is bolted to the rear seat (the "40" section part). The beauty of this location is that all I have to do is to flip the seat back down and expose the amp for adjustments.
---a 1 cubic foot custom made Subwoofer box with Alpine 10 inch "S" sub directly behind the rear "40" seat. It covers some of the spare tire lid so a line had to be score on the spare tire lid to allow it to act like a hinge and still be able to access the spare tire.
The factory OEM Honda speakers are a coupld of frisbees now.
Well, the new sound is GREAT!. I love driving it now as well as listening to it now!

Rep Power: 0 I didn't get the answer to his question out of this, but they probably used a line converter from the back speakers to tell the amp what to amplify. Usually they're around $50 and they convert the powered lines to the rear speakers to RCA outs. It's what I had in my RX8 before I got the civic
